Hourly Production, Shipping and Secondary - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Compensation: Range $22.40 - $26.70 - 3rd shift hourly rates based on position.

Seeking highly motivated individuals for 3rd shift operations. Operators will be tasked with performing a number of various duties including but not limited to:

End Welder – end welding of coils, loading coils with overhead / jib crane
Mill Operator – set up mill to customer specs
Cutoff Operator – Set up cutoff to required length
Offloading - hand stack steel tubing or ensure auto off loaders are off loading tube correctly
Mobile Equipment Operations - Forklift, sideloader, flat bed loaders, warehouse movement, shipping functions
Repacking and banding – repack bundles, pack, and / or band bundles according to customer requirements

Cutting Department- Rotating 12 hour shift schedules. Operators and secondary positions available.

Responsibilities:

*Ability to inspect and stack steel tubing. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
*Ability to use measuring devices to measure tubing
*Technical skill set to perform changeovers and set up
*Ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity are being met
*Follow work instructions to produce tubing per customer specifications

REQUIREMENTS:
*Prior automotive manufacturing experienced preferred
*Excellent attendance record
*Excellent safety record
*Pre-Employment hair drug screen required

Quality Lab Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift and 2nd Shift Opportunities, Non-Exempt Salaried

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Laboratory testing to support the production teams and assure product quality meets customer requirements.
  • Create lab reports as needed for analysis of tubing failures.
  • Perform Quality spot checks and process audits on mills as required.
  • Obtain dimensional data for PPAP parts when required.
  • Perform Quality verification of finished goods prior to shipment as required.
  • Support root cause analysis on customer claims and corrective actions.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform analysis on suspect tubing issues.
  • Support the preparation of PPAP’s accurately and efficiently
  • Continuously work to develop long-term corrective actions internally and externally.
  • Ability to complete other Quality duties as assigned. 
  • Comply with all Safety requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.  Associates Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of tubing defects and acceptable boundary parameters.
  • Experience in the Automotive Mfg. Industry preferred.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Five or more years in production or quality industry.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools. Micrometers, calipers, and other quality measuring tools.

Raw Material Coordinator

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Salaried

    Job Purpose:  

  • To improve communications between Scheduling, Purchasing and Sales. 
  • To reduce production scrap, by scheduling fewer changeovers. 
  • To reduce premium freight costs.


     Responsibility:

  •  Track coil delivery to ensure coils are delivered on time for the required production targets.
  • Internally coordinate spot buy purchases.

     Essential Functions:
  •  Communicate daily with ISR’s and Scheduling.
  •  Review Steel Requirements daily and communicate any orders not covered.
  •  Assist with material expediting. 
  •  Provide reports/updates as directed by Manager.
  •  Perform any additional duties assigned.
     
     Job Specifications:
  • Education H.S. diploma required, College degree preferred. 
  • Knowledge of APICS-ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) a plus.
  • Experience Knowledge of Steel Manufacturing
  • Familiar with Purchasing, Scheduling, Operations

  •  Proficient typing skills
  •  Time management skills
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  •  Ability to work with others, including superb interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
